Who Is Singulus

” Over the past fifteen years I have progressively changed. We all do, of course, and I am no different in that regard. I am no longer that person, whoever that might have been, whom I once was.”

” Between 1982 - 1992 I started working on the internet. Oh, As I have mentioned, I first laid eyes on a computer, what was to become known as a computer anyway, in 1969. But by 1992 I was getting serious about it, and. I was spreading the word. At first it was just an hour or so a day. Now it is closer to twelve.”

“Seven years ago I spent most of my time over on Six Apart’s TypePad [ For almost eleven years I was a stay-at-home dad and focused all but exclusively on raising my son. Then came a sudden & tragic divorce which I will not go into here. Google my name in quotes and most of that story will be found. I have nothing to hide ]. For the past three years I have been transitioning over to Tumblr by way of Vox, another Six Apart product. Today I am all but exclusively on Tumblr. Which brings us back to the point.”

“Given all this what a better environment in which to live then in a community of fellow Tumblr’s. Literally. So I am all about finding, building if necessary, a community of Tumblrs, to live, work, and play together on a scale, to my knowledge, never before attempted. Thus the working title ‘Tumblr Seeks Good Home’

43 ” A couple of days ago, while I was waiting for my Verizon Wireless account to reset- Verizon, In it’s infinite wisdom, limits each account to 5,120 MB of bandwidth per billing period. Over that it charges an obsene .25 cents US per megabyte. A couple of days ago I had what I can only call a ‘waking-state’ vision. For those of you new to all of this, I’m talking about a wide-awake vision which superimposes itself upon consensus reality. In simple terms, that reality upon which we all, generally, agree. “

” In this vision I was seated in a variation of the familiar ‘lotus’ posture, on a small patio or deck made of redwood supported on an equally small adobe shelf. The shelf was approximately five feet deep and ten feet wide. The tiny little house behind me was about ten feet by twelve feet.”

” I was seated on top of a sheepskin covered by a Navajo wearing-blanket, and. I was wearing a monks maroon & ochre robe.”

“The detail of the entire scene was striking. I could literally ‘see’ the texture all around.”

And here we are again …
